We started collecting daylilies about 8 years ago, it didn't take long before we became "total hemheads". Three years ago we moved to the woods below Chipley, Florida onto 10 acres, to start raising our daylilies.

Moving to the woods has been an adventure. Both of us coming from "city life" we had alot to learn about mother nature. The first being... don't scream and run every time you see a snake. OH.. and let's not forget about "Bambi". You don't even want to know what we tried to do to keep the deer off the daylilies, we finally put up a 9 foot fence around the daylily area.

Out of the 10 acres we have turned about 2 acres into our "daylily field". All of the daylilies are raised in 3 gallon pots, using a mixture of mushroom compost and aged pine park.

We raise over 1200 different cultivars. One of the problems we had and still have is, we LIKE them all. From bagels to Unf, mini's to extra large and every color under the sun. (Still looking for the Blue Daylily)
